Researchers in Glasgow led by Dr Filippo Queirazza and Professor Jonathan Cavanagh have published an interesting piece of research using brain scanning to predict who might respond to our computer based life skills package for low mood and stress Living Life to the Full Interactive.
They recruited and scanned people with diagnosed depression who had not previously taken an antidepressant tablet. Participants then were offered use of the Living Life to the Full Interactive computer package.
They found that brain function was a strong predictor of whether people could make good use of the package and experience improvement using this approach.
